Moving out of the ICU

It was a good feeling to see the empty bed, and Tim sitting up. He's moving to the general ward probably tonight. As a note this is probably my last or next to last post. (Though I may be invited back occasionally.)

The immediate crisis I think is over - though the longer term fight remains. I have appreciated being able to communicate with everyone. My thanks are not nearly enough for all the support, but they are heartfelt nonetheless.

Take care, Liz

  2. Tim, I've only recently heard about your situation and this blog. You, Liz, and Robbie are in my thoughts daily. I'm pulling for you, my friend. I wish you, Liz, and Robbie the strength to beat this.

  3. You really look ready to FIGHT, Tim! I'm seeing an amalgam of the Terminator and William Wallace.

  4. Tim,
Having only recently followed your journey on this blog, I'm a little late to the congratulations for getting out of ICU party. I remember that when you informed your colleagues of your condition. I wrote you back and complimented your attitude. Keep it up. Look forward to seeing you soon. - Brian Frank

  5. Tim,

I just heard of your situation when I opened up my NMCI email today and was forwarded a link to your blog by Kevin Birney. Having worked with Liz on NCW programs in the past, I feel I know her better than I know you, and I do know it's tough on both of you (in different ways) since I went thru a similar situation with my Mom's sarcoma in 2004-2005. My thoughts and prayers are with the both of you, and we'll see you both back at work soon.
    Sincerely, Ernie Suggs

  7. Tim,
Could you work on getting a better picture of yourself posted? We need a new parking pass photo. I hope that at least gets a smile out of you. Glad to see you are vertical and doing better. Thanks to Liz for sharing with us. We welcome her back any time.

  8. Tim (and Liz)

Dave and I just recently learned about Tim's illness. Your family is definitely in our daily thoughts and prayers. If there is ever anything that we can do to help let us know. Your blog is a wonderful tribute to your spirit, as well as your marvelous, supportive circle of family and friends. As we have had experience with cancer in both of our families, we know that attitude and support mean alot!
